lyrics

The mountain sat upon the plain. The Grandfather of the days.
Every step takes a parted breath. The soaring of the soul away.
We are the wounded from the wars. Never climbing towards the top.
Guided by your broken wings. Cursed flight of Prometheus.

Molten fire, a burning desire, to fly through the sky.
Another mountain waits, to annihilate,
anything we create, our wings it obliterates.

Mountain! You've been here all this time.
Climb straight into my veins. Let me overdose on your grandeur.
Mountain. I'll spend my time with you.
Every moment constricting, bury me underneath your weight.

Back into the cave I'm turning,
all within my soul is churning.
Lost everything I fought for and saved.
And deep within the darkness leering,
long I stood there pondering, fearing.
I am a passing thought and nothing more.

On different plains, I could not bring my passions from a common spring.
Is this a flood or a fountain? A blood stained hill or a mountain?

Be silent in that solitude. Where the spirits of the dead now stood.
The sad valley's restlessness. Just stood there motionless.
No palace to the clouds did swell.
A place where life would dare not dwell.

Earth black-winged, no birds will sing for when the flock will dive
into their doom, a sterile tomb, a relic that will not survive.
Damned angel, twisted rapture of reality.
The great deceiver or true believer what do you really see?

Let all life riches become divine stitches from that there is no return.
Its wretched spoils and rooted boils are no longer my concern.
And yet we dare to touch, we dare to see or feel.
This piercing wound, an open wound that time can never heal.
